What is Tummy Tuck?
Abdominoplasty also known as tummy tuck is one of the most efficient way of body contouring specially after weight loss & several pregnancies.

Standard Abdominoplasty
This is indicated for patients whose excess skin and fat is present both above and below umbilicus (belly button).
Miniabdominoplasty
This is limited for patient with skin laxity below the umbilicus (belly button) only.
Lipoabdominoplasty
It’s an advance method of tummy tuck in which excess fat of abdomen is first removed by liposuction and then tummy tuck is performed.

Tummy Tuck Procedures:
In tummy tuck procedure the surgeon makes an incision/cut from one hipbone to the hipbone just over the pubic area. A second cut is then made to free the belly button from the excess belly skin.
The surgeon then separates the extra skin from the abdominal wall and lifts the skin flap to expose the vertical belly muscles. The loose muscles are then tightened and stitched together in midline. This makes abdomen look flat with narrow waist line. The raised skin and fat flap is then pulled down and excess flap is removed.
The remaining skin flap is stitched back in new position, a new hole is created in the skin to reposition the navel.
